After a two-year project to increase the employment of people with disability in local government the Lighthouse Awards recognised inclusive workplaces and celebrated good practice in local government.
The Lighthouse Awards were presented at a special ceremony on Friday 25 August 2017 at Crown, Perth. The ceremony was part of a forum jointly hosted by LG Professionals WA Community Development Network, NDS WA's Access and Inclusion Sub Committee and WALGA.
The findings of the Lighthouse Project were also presented and the tools and resources created by the project were launched.
