Lighthouse Project (2.0) Grants Program 2019

LG Professionals WA is pleased to announce the grant recipients of the Lighthouse Project Grants Program 2019

Grants of up to $10,000 per local government in Western Australia were available for projects which increase disability awareness and confidence and/or engagement from the wider business community, with overall increased impact on the employment of people with disability.

There were two grant components: (a) disability-awareness and confidence training for managers and/or staff, with preference given to applicants who involve trainers with disability and training that incudes 'invisible' disability; and (b) activities that engage the wider business community in disability employment, with preference given to applicants who involve local Disability Employment Service provider(s) and/or Employment Supports provider(s).

In 2019, 15 local governments were successful in securing grant funding totalling $100,027.
