The Communications Network's vision is to advocate, assist and develop the careers of communications professionals in local government, and to empower them to better reach, engage and develop informed, heard and active communities.
The purpose of the Network is to:
Facilitate knowledge and information sharing
Provide opportunities for professional development
Network with like-minded peers
Raise the profile of the profession to reflect the critical role it plays in each local government

Communications Network - online discussion portal and resource library
The Communications Network online resource library provides a valuable source of information such as templates, local government policies and procedures, presentations from network events and other documents that may prove useful to those people working in a Communications role.
An online discussion portal is also available to encourage collaboration and information sharing and to provide a space for discussions on issues, challenges and successes related to communication topics.
