The Origin of Happiness report 2018, produced from a survey completed by 100,000 individuals in Australia, Germany, the UK and the US found that eliminating depression and anxiety would reduce misery by 20%, while eliminating poverty would only reduce it by 5%. Addressing mental health problems would be 4 times more effective at increasing happiness than reducing poverty. The report aims to revolutionise how governments think about humane priorities and to encourage them to prioritise wellbeing as a measure of a country's success.
It is important to look after your emotional wellbeing and recognise the factors that impact your mental health, as well as understanding what you can do to stay mentally well and improve your overall wellbeing.
So how do you improve your happiness?
It's time to 'find your happy' and promote connection, kindness and contribution to the world, because 'Happiness can change a life, even save one.'
That is the mantra of Happiness Co who have the ultimate vision to reduce the impact unhappiness, depression and anxiety have on our community.
