Join us as we explore the results of the Australasian LG Performance Excellence Program in relation to staff turnover and retention; hear about current trends in the WA local government jobs sector; consider what brand new talent can offer us and ask our panel of experts for their tops tips to attract and retain the right people.

This event will include the Local Government Professionals WA Metro Branch AGM and networking.

Presenters

Benchmarking Staff Retention

Zelda Jansen, Corporate Performance Advisor at the City of Wanneroo, will share results and analysis of the Australasian LG Performance Excellence Program in relation to staff turnover and retention.


Local Government Employment Trends

Kim Christina, Account Manager with SEEK, will talk to us about employment trends, salary data and candidate mobility in the local government space. 


Brand New Talent

Dr Helena Kadmos, Academic Coordinator Internships will share details of the McCusker Centre Internships Program (UWA) and how we can encourage young people to consider local government as a career choice.


The Right People Panel

Our panel of experts will answer all your questions about staff turnover and share their tips for attracting and retaining the right people. Joining Kim and Helena will be: Tom Hastings, Manager Organisational Performance (City of Gosnells), Graham Olson, Manager Human Resources and Development (Town of Victoria Park) and Glenn Heaperman, Manager Human Resources (City of Joondalup).
