The experience of connection and belonging is of proven benefit in itself, but also, communities can, if we work well with them, be a major resource in achieving the positive outcomes that we strive for in our various roles. Policy makers, youth workers, elected members, managers, human service workers, volunteers and community members all have a role to play on developing 'community' in our local area.
