About this position

The City's Parks and Environmental Branch is seeking a dedicated professional to lead the Parks Asset and Contracts team.

The focus of this position is to ensure Parks assets maintenance and renewal is delivered to a high standard as well as providing dedicated management oversight to contracts in operation across the branch.

Asset management responsibilities will include implementation of the Parks asset management plan, developing long-term asset renewal programs, delivering capital works projects and managing operational asset maintenance. Contract management responsibilities will involve lifecycle management of contracts in accordance with City Policy, including the development of detailed specifications, contract engagement, operational management, and eventual contract close out.

This is a permanent position based at the City's Operations Centre in Maddington.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Substantial experience in an asset management role.
  • Substantial experience managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality strategic and operational outcomes through the implementation of best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in an Assets, Projects, Parks Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • White Card.
  • Current National Police clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
