About this position

The City of Gosnells Engineering Maintenance Team is seeking an experienced Engineering professional to join the team. The objectives of this position are to ensure management of the City's bridges, roads, paths and associated assets through seeking grant funding and coordinating asset renewals within the five-year Capital Works Plan.

The position will investigate and provide responses to community requests for path and road upgrades; provide technical advice on road and pavement reinstatements, including attending site meetings and practical completions; assess restricted access vehicle route applications; and utilise RAMM and GIS software to perform spatial queries, mapping and data extracts.

This is a permanent position based at the City's Operations Centre in Maddington.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Sound knowledge of grant funding applications and acquittals, development of five-year capital works programs.
  • Experience responding to community requests
  • Experience in the use of RAMM and GIS or similar software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and assist in all aspects of the Engineering Operations section.

Essential requirements:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • White Card.
  • Current National Police clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
