The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu is seeking a highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our dedicated team in the position of Swimming Pool Manager.
The Wongan Hills Memorial Swimming Pool comprises a 6 lane, 50m lap pool with dive well and two baby/toddler pools set in landscape surrounds. The facility is open 6 days per week for the season (October through to April). The facility is an important community asset to our rural town and district, and the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of this together with an ability to foster and expand its community value.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Swimming Pool and supervision of patrons to provide a safe swimming environment. We are looking for a candidate who can take ownership of the role and facility and take pride in maintaining it to a high standard whilst delivering outstanding customer service.
This position offers a generous renumeration package including a negotiable cash component and staff housing for the contract term. Due to the nature of the pool opening, the Swimming Pool Manager is expected to work 6 days a week throughout the season.
This position is based in Wongan Hills, which is a progressive town situated 184kms north east of Perth in the Wheatbelt. The town is well services with shopping, medical, excellent sporting facilities, day-care and a district high school.
