Ignite 2: Leading with Impact and Agility Workshop

This two-day workshop will address essential strategies and skills needed to lead with impact in today's fast-paced and ever-changing business environment.

 

Prerequisite - completed Ignite Leadership Program

Day 1 will be an opportunity to enhance individual levels of influence:

  • Influence and persuasion: Learn how to communicate with impact and influence, inspiring and motivating others to achieve their best work.
  • Networked relationships: Understand the importance of building and maintaining strong relationships with peers, colleagues, and stakeholders to drive success and innovation.
  • Firo-B: Develop your self-awareness and understanding of your impact on others through the Firo-B tool, allowing you to build better relationships and collaborate more effectively.
  • Personal influence: Learn how to build your personal brand and establish your authority as a leader, cultivating trust and respect with those you work with.
  • Conflict handling: Develop effective conflict resolution skills to minimise the negative impact of disputes and create win-win solutions that benefit all parties involved.
  • Games people play: Explore the political dynamics of local government and learn how to navigate the complex game-playing that can occur in any organisation.

Day 2 will focus on building resilient teams to mitigate the impact of continuous change and evolution in the local government context. There will also be an opportunity to reflect on how to lead change in a local government context effectively:

  • Change is a given, so how do we make it more normal?
  • What is team resilience and how do we build it?
  • Measuring team resilience and capacity for change.
  • Building change readiness.
  • Delivering change and ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Managing change using Kotter's model.
You'll leave this workshop with a comprehensive set of tools and techniques that you can apply immediately to elevate your leadership skills and drive better results for your organisation.
