Be rewarded each time you refer a friend for individual membership!

Our refer a friend promotion rewards existing individual members with a $50 credit towards their own individual membership fee or event registration each time they refer a friend who joins the Association.

Australians trust traditional channels and prefer real-life conversations when it comes to sharing brand experiences or seeking recommendations. Word-of-mouth and real-life conversations have a stronger influence on consumer's minds and, therefore, their purchasing decisions.

*Nielsen's 2021 Trust in Advertising global survey found that 88% of respondents most trust recommendations from people they know.

Real life conversations happen naturally and are a way for consumers to share their true emotions with their community.

So, with this in mind we are looking for our existing members, happy and impressed by their membership experience to date to be our brand ambassadors and recommend membership to their colleagues across the WA local government sector.

How do I refer a friend and earn a $50 reward?
All you need to do is recommend individual membership to a non-member, its that simple! The non-member will then apply for membership and list your name on their application. Once the application is received and processed we will be in touch to confirm the details of your $50 credit reward.

The boring (but necessary) part
Terms:
  1. The refer a friend promotion runs from 1 July to 31 December each year.
  2. New individual membership applications must be received by 5pm, 31 December of the current year for the recommending individual member to be eligible to receive a $50 credit reward.
  3. The individual applying for individual membership must not have held individual membership of LG Professionals WA previously.
  4. The individual applying for individual membership must include the name of the existing individual member recommending individual membership in the space provided on the individual membership application.
  5. The $50 credit reward is for use by the recommending individual member only and is non-transferrable.
  6. The $50 credit reward is for use with an event registration including our eLearning Program. It cannot be used towards a membership renewal.
  7. The $50 credit reward must be used within the financial year in which it was issued and cannot be carried over. If a $50 credit reward is not utilised within the financial year in which it was issued it will be forfeited by the referring individual member.
  8. The $50 credit reward must be used in its entirety in one transaction.
  9. There is no limit to the number of new individual members an existing member can refer.
